This is your chance to further your OR nursing expertise in a busy surgical setting. The role is days in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) with call as needed and includes the unique opportunity to float to other clinically appropriate units within your scope of practice, license, and competencies. Working alongside top surgical and perioperative teams, you'll be exposed to a range of cases and workplace leadership styles, broadening your clinical perspective and enhancing your resume with versatile experience.
Schedule/Hours
- Day shift in the CVOR
- Call required as scheduled
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois RN license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
Preferred/Additional:
- Experience in a high-acuity operating room setting
- Willingness and ability to float to other hospital units based on clinical need, within the nurse’s competency and licensure
- Adaptability to varied patient populations and care environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative care for surgical patients
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and allied staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure regulatory compliance
- Float to other units as assigned (e.g., Medical/Surgical, ICU, PCU), performing duties appropriate to your training and scope
- Respond to urgent situations with proficiency as required
