Take your nursing expertise into the Operating Room, supporting surgical teams and patient care in a dynamic healthcare setting. In this contract role, you'll work closely under the guidance of the Nurse Manager, ensuring every operative procedure is performed smoothly and safely.
Schedule:
- Four 10-hour shifts per week (4x10s)
- Call responsibilities: Two evenings per week (5 p.m. or end of shift to 7 a.m.)
- One weekend of call (Saturday and Sunday, 24 hours each) every three weeks
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current RN license in Massachusetts required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Completion of an RN First Assisting course that aligns with the AORN Core Curriculum
- Five years of diverse peri-operative experience, including both scrubbing and circulating roles
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or American Red Cross
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons as the primary support through the duration of operative procedures
- Circulate as needed, ensuring patient safety and supporting surgical team workflow
- Uphold departmental and organizational protocols for every case
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care at all stages of the surgical process
- Collaborate with the OR team to maintain a safe, sterile environment
