Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active and unrestricted RN license
  • Minimum of one year recent experience in an Operating Room (OR) or perioperative nursing setting
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to circulate and/or scrub on a variety of surgical procedures
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and surgical teams
  • Commitment to maintaining compliance with both facility protocols and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Provide skilled, compassionate care for patients before, during, and immediately after surgery
  • Collaborate seamlessly with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR staff to optimize patient outcomes
  • Prepare and maintain the sterile environment according to best-practices and infection control standards
  • Accurately document interventions, assessments, and patient responses in a timely manner
  • Educate patients and families on perioperative procedures and post-operative recovery needs
  • Remain vigilant in monitoring patient conditions, anticipating needs, and responding promptly to emergent situations
