Registered Nurse - Operating Room | Whittier, California

Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in an Operating Room setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Familiarity with circulating and scrubbing for a variety of surgeries
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to adapt and remain calm in fast-paced environments

Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons and surgical staff throughout operative procedures, ensuring patient safety and the sterile field is maintained
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery, promptly addressing any changes
• Manage and account for surgical instruments, materials, and specimen collection
• Document all intraoperative care and communicate pertinent findings to the healthcare team
• Provide compassionate preoperative and postoperative patient support
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to uphold top standards of care
