Provide experienced nursing care in acute care settings with a focus on cardiac medical-surgical and medical-surgical telemetry patients. This contract opportunity requires adaptability to float between specialized cardiac units and general Med/Surg units, ensuring high-quality patient care across diverse environments.
Location:

Schedule and Hours:
- 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years recent acute care experience, with a strong focus on cardiac medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Ability to adapt quickly to different units and patient needs
- Proficiency with Meditech IVs and telemetry monitoring
- Independent ability to read telemetry strips and successfully pass an on-site exam on Day 1 with at least 84% (two attempts allowed)
- EPIC electronic health record experience is strongly preferred
- Preferred experience includes 3-5 years in med/surg telemetry settings
Certifications and Licenses:
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled nursing care to cardiac and medical-surgical patients
- Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to changes in patient status
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and adhere to safety protocols
- Adapt to shifting unit assignments while ensuring continuity of care
