Step into a pivotal nursing role where your expertise in Mother/Baby care contributes to exceptional outcomes for high-risk mothers and infants. This 13-week contract offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, compassionate environment, supporting both clinical excellence and professional growth.
Schedule:
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 pm – 7:30 am
- Every other weekend rotation
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license with recent experience in Mother/Baby nursing
- Background in caring for high-risk mothers and newborns in a high acuity setting
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Demonstrated strength in thorough documentation and precise communication
- Proven self-starter who is inquisitive, asks open-ended and detailed questions
- Nurse-to-patient ratio experience of 1:5 is highly desirable
- Exceptional teamwork, leadership, and patient advocacy skills
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and deliver compassionate, evidence-based patient care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
- Delegate, supervise, and document care provided to mothers and babies while ensuring patient safety and satisfaction
- Provide education and counseling to patients and families, adapting communication to their needs
- Actively communicate pertinent information to the multidisciplinary health care team
- Participate in resolving patient care variances and support the implementation of individualized solutions
- Maintain meticulous documentation for all aspects of care
