Step into a pivotal nursing role where your expertise in Mother/Baby care contributes to exceptional outcomes for high-risk mothers and infants. This 13-week contract offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, compassionate environment, supporting both clinical excellence and professional growth.

Schedule:

  • 36 hours per week
  • 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 pm – 7:30 am
  • Every other weekend rotation

Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with recent experience in Mother/Baby nursing
  • Background in caring for high-risk mothers and newborns in a high acuity setting
  • BLS and NRP certifications required
  • Demonstrated strength in thorough documentation and precise communication
  • Proven self-starter who is inquisitive, asks open-ended and detailed questions
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio experience of 1:5 is highly desirable
  • Exceptional teamwork, leadership, and patient advocacy skills

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and deliver compassionate, evidence-based patient care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
  • Delegate, supervise, and document care provided to mothers and babies while ensuring patient safety and satisfaction
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and families, adapting communication to their needs
  • Actively communicate pertinent information to the multidisciplinary health care team
  • Participate in resolving patient care variances and support the implementation of individualized solutions
  • Maintain meticulous documentation for all aspects of care
