Registered Nurse (RN) | Maben, Mississippi

Embark on an assignment delivering crucial care in a Labor & Delivery setting for a contract role with a 13-week duration, starting on October 14. This position offers the opportunity to support expectant mothers and newborns in a professional, collaborative environment and requires registered nursing expertise.

Schedule:

• Saturday, Sunday, Monday, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. shifts

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with current standing
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in Labor & Delivery
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records system
• Comprehensive understanding of maternal and fetal assessments, obstetric emergencies, and newborn care
• Ability to work weekends and nights
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, attentive nursing care to laboring and postpartum mothers, as well as newborns
• Monitor vital signs, fetal heart rates, and labor progress; identify and respond promptly to complications
• Administer medications and assist with epidurals, inductions, and other labor interventions as needed
• Coordinate and collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, support staff, and families throughout the delivery process
• Maintain thorough, accurate documentation in the EPIC system
• Educate and support mothers, partners, and families before, during, and after delivery
• Foster a positive, calm environment while swiftly handling obstetric emergencies if they arise
