Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid RN license
- Demonstrated experience working in cardiac stepdown or progressive care units
- Proficient in cardiac monitoring, managing cardiac drips, and responding to acute changes in patient status
- Exceptional assessment skills and critical thinking abilities
- Strong communication and collaboration capabilities with interdisciplinary teams
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and care for patients recovering from cardiac events or procedures, following prescribed care protocols
- Assess, document, and communicate vital sign changes and patient symptoms
- Administer medications, titrate IV drips, and interpret cardiac telemetry readings
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, case managers, and ancillary staff to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families on recovery processes, medication regimens, and lifestyle adjustments for heart health
- Uphold strict standards for patient safety and infection control
