Key Qualifications:

  • Current and valid RN license
  • Demonstrated experience working in cardiac stepdown or progressive care units
  • Proficient in cardiac monitoring, managing cardiac drips, and responding to acute changes in patient status
  • Exceptional assessment skills and critical thinking abilities
  • Strong communication and collaboration capabilities with interdisciplinary teams
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and care for patients recovering from cardiac events or procedures, following prescribed care protocols
  • Assess, document, and communicate vital sign changes and patient symptoms
  • Administer medications, titrate IV drips, and interpret cardiac telemetry readings
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, case managers, and ancillary staff to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Educate patients and their families on recovery processes, medication regimens, and lifestyle adjustments for heart health
  • Uphold strict standards for patient safety and infection control
