Experienced Registered Nurses are needed to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced cardiac stepdown environment. In this contract position, you will work hand-in-hand with multidisciplinary teams to provide critical support and expert care to patients transitioning from intensive cardiac care. Qualifications:
- Current, active RN license
- Relevant experience in cardiac stepdown or similar high-acuity nursing unit
- Strong cardiac monitoring and intervention skills
- Ability to respond promptly and effectively to changes in patient condition
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, promptly identifying changes
- Manage and administer medications and infusions per physician orders
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and allied health staff
- Educate patients and families on cardiac diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- Thoroughly document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in medical records
- Adhere to established safety and infection control protocols
