This contract opportunity is ideal for registered nurses with a solid foundation in cardiac stepdown and general RN responsibilities, looking to deliver compassionate, evidence-based support to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and intervention.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• Previous experience in a cardiac stepdown unit strongly preferred
• Proficiency with EKG monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition, and cardiac medication administration
• Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Adaptable to fast-paced, evolving clinical environments

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients with cardiac conditions, recognizing and responding to acute changes promptly
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to established protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide education and emotional support for patients and their families regarding cardiac conditions and recovery
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and healing patient environment
