Experienced Registered Nurses are needed to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced cardiac stepdown environment. In this contract position, you will work hand-in-hand with multidisciplinary teams to provide critical support and expert care to patients transitioning from intensive cardiac care. This opportunity is ideal for compassionate, detail-oriented RNs who thrive in dynamic clinical environments and are passionate about cardiac patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Current, active RN license
  • Relevant experience in cardiac stepdown or similar high-acuity nursing unit
  • Strong cardiac monitoring and intervention skills
  • Ability to respond promptly and effectively to changes in patient condition
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, promptly identifying changes
  • Manage and administer medications and infusions per physician orders
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and allied health staff
  • Educate patients and families on cardiac diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
  • Thoroughly document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in medical records
  • Adhere to established safety and infection control protocols
