Registered Nurse (RN) | Rochester, Michigan

A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced RN specializing in Mother-Baby care to deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing within a collaborative setting. This role focuses on supporting mothers and newborns with complex medical needs, requiring dedicated expertise and exceptional communication skills.

Schedule:

• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm - 7:30am)
• Every other weekend rotation
• 13-week assignment

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license with robust Mother-Baby nursing experience
• Background in high-risk maternal and neonatal settings
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Proven ability to navigate care for risk mothers and newborns
• Strong documentation abilities and attention to detail
• Effective communicator: curious, asks detailed and open-ended questions
• Self-motivated with a commitment to delivering evidence-based care
• Comfortable working with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5

Primary Responsibilities:

• Apply nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for mothers and infants
• Coordinate and delegate nursing care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Provide thorough, timely documentation and contribute to care planning
• Communicate important patient and family information to the healthcare team
• Educate and support patients and families, ensuring clear understanding of care plans
• Play an active role in identifying and implementing solutions for deviations from patient care goals
