Registered Nurse in Starkville, MS

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with expertise in Labor & Delivery. This contract position offers the chance to make a difference supporting new mothers and newborns within a collaborative environment, focusing on patient-centered care over a 13-week period.

Schedule:

• Saturday, Sunday, and Monday nights
• 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Key Qualifications:

• Current, active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Strong proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records is required
• Demonstrated ability to respond effectively in fast-paced, high-stakes situations
• Thorough understanding of perinatal and infant care standards
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles away from the facility to comply with the radius policy

Core Responsibilities:

• Monitor laboring patients and provide evidence-based nursing interventions
• Administer medications and assist with epidurals, inductions, and natural births
• Collaborate closely with physicians, certified nurse midwives, and support staff to ensure optimal maternal and fetal outcomes
• Educate and provide support to patients and their families throughout the labor and delivery process
• Conduct thorough documentation of patient care using EPIC
• Participate in emergency interventions and postpartum care according to hospital protocols
• Promote a safe, patient-focused environment while upholding nursing best practices and standards of care

$1,832 - $2,004/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
