Registered Nurse - Warren, MI

Take on a rewarding role caring for mothers and newborns in a setting that values compassion, expertise, and attention to detail. This 13-week contract position is designed for experienced Registered Nurses who are motivated to support patients with high-risk obstetrical needs.

Schedule:

• 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts
• Night shift: 7:00 pm – 7:30 am
• Every other weekend required

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license with demonstrated experience in Mother-Baby, postpartum, or similar nursing roles
• Background in managing care for high-risk mothers and newborns in a high-acuity setting
• Valid BLS and NRP certifications
• Strong documentation skills and ability to communicate patient and family needs effectively
• Self-starter mindset; skilled at asking detailed, open-ended questions for safe and efficient patient care
• Experience managing a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate compassionate, evidence-based care for postpartum women and their infants
• Collaborate as a core part of the healthcare team, sharing relevant information for quality patient outcomes
• Complete thorough documentation to support individualized care plans
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, educating patients and families as needed
• Proactively identify issues or variances from patient goals and participate in developing solutions
