Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Experience working in Cardiac Stepdown or similar telemetry/intermediate care settings
  • Strong assessment, clinical decision-making, and monitoring skills
  • Ability to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with electronic medical records and evidence-based protocols
  • Effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients transitioning from critical care, closely observing and responding to cardiac status changes
  • Administer medications, adjust interventions, and monitor cardiac rhythms according to provider orders
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Educate patients and families on cardiac health, procedures, and recovery processes to promote understanding and engagement in care
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient progress
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to safety standards
