This contract opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse with strong clinical skills and a passion for patient-centered care. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patients recovering from cardiac events and procedures, ensuring their safe transition to lower acuity units or home.

Qualifications:

  • Current, active RN license in good standing
  • Minimum of one year of experience in cardiac stepdown, telemetry, or a similar acute care setting
  • Strong assessment, monitoring, and documentation skills
  • Competence with cardiac monitoring equipment and interpreting cardiac rhythms
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, monitor, and care for patients with complex cardiac conditions
  • Administer medications, titrate drips, and provide post-procedure observation as ordered
  • Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond effectively to changes in patient condition
  • Educate patients and families on treatment, recovery, and discharge instructions
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility policy
  • Uphold infection control and patient safety standards at all times
