You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patients recovering from cardiac events and procedures, ensuring their safe transition to lower acuity units or home.
Qualifications:
- Current, active RN license in good standing
- Minimum of one year of experience in cardiac stepdown, telemetry, or a similar acute care setting
- Strong assessment, monitoring, and documentation skills
- Competence with cardiac monitoring equipment and interpreting cardiac rhythms
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals
Responsibilities:
- Assess, monitor, and care for patients with complex cardiac conditions
- Administer medications, titrate drips, and provide post-procedure observation as ordered
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond effectively to changes in patient condition
- Educate patients and families on treatment, recovery, and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility policy
- Uphold infection control and patient safety standards at all times
