As an RN specializing in PACU and Pre-Op, you’ll join a high-performing team managing diverse cases including Urology, GYN, same day surgeries, and a wide range of outpatient procedures. Here, you’ll expand your skills handling advanced technology such as Pyxis, Meditech EMR, and diagnostic devices like GE MACVU EKG machines and bladder scanners. With an emphasis on delivering exceptional, patient-centered care in a unit featuring nine pre-op beds and five phase 2 recovery beds, you’ll experience varied patient needs and collaborate closely with a dedicated staff, including seasoned full-time and part-time RNs and clinical support.
This setting fosters professional growth through exposure to new workplace practices, leadership methods, and an environment that values adaptability and clinical excellence. Schedule:
- 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Required Experience and Skills:
- Current RN license, active and in good standing
- ACLS and BLS certification
- Proven Phase 2 recovery care experience
- Ability to respond within 30 minutes for on-call coverage
Preferred Experience:
- Pre-op experience or enthusiasm for supporting pre-op activities
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional nursing care for pre-op and phase 2 recovery patients
- Monitor, assess, and document patient recovery using Meditech EMR
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Support outpatient procedures, including infusions, EKGs, and blood transfusions
