Travel Post-Anesthesia Care Unit RN | Andover, Kansas

The position is based on a well-equipped Pre-Op Holding/ASU unit, where you’ll collaborate with a seasoned nursing team utilizing the latest in patient care technology.

This assignment allows you to broaden your clinical repertoire by working alongside professionals with diverse experience, adopting a variety of workplace practices, and experiencing different leadership styles. Exposure to unit technology—including Pyxis systems, GE MACVU EKGs, Dopplers, and advanced EMRs—will enhance your skill set and add undeniable strength to your resume.

Schedule/Hours:

• 5A – 5P shifts
• On-call required, with a 30-minute response when on-call

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Phase 2 recoveries for urology, GYN, and other same-day surgery patients
• Pre-op care for surgery, endoscopy, cath lab, CT, outpatient infusions, blocks, and blood transfusions
• Utilizing Meditech EMR for comprehensive patient management
• Collaborating with a close-knit team committed to outstanding patient experiences
• Ensuring clear communication with staff and providers

Qualifications/Experience:

• Active RN license with at least 1 year of recent acute care Pre-Op RN hospital experience
• Current BLS & ACLS certifications
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
• Preferred: previous pre-op experience and Meditech proficiency
