As a PACU RN working in Pre-Op/ASU, you’ll gain valuable insight into varied pre- and post-operative procedures. Collaborate with an experienced team and sharpen your skills with cutting-edge equipment such as Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG machines, and bladder scanners. The Meditech EMR system offers exposure to leading documentation practices, supporting your professional growth. With a patient ratio of 1:3 and diverse case mix—including urology, gynecology, and short-stay recoveries—your resume will stand out while you work alongside seasoned clinicians and leadership.

Schedule:

  • 5A – 5P shifts

Key Qualifications:

  • RN license with current ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Phase 2 recovery experience required
  • Pre-op experience, or willingness/aptitude to collaboratively support pre-op staff preferred
  • Familiarity with Meditech EMR and modern perioperative equipment is advantageous
  • 30-minute on-call response time capability
  • Strong communication skills and ability to adapt in a dynamic, high-acuity environment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional nursing care throughout the perioperative process—including preoperative preparations and phase 2 recovery
  • Monitor and assess post-anesthesia patients, recognizing and acting upon changes quickly
  • Assist with procedures such as outpatient infusions, blood transfusions, EKGs, and blocks
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient patient throughput
  • Accurately chart all patient interactions and care plans

$1,936 - $2,048/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
