Assignment Overview:
You'll be a valued member of a collaborative team in a Pre-Op Holding/ASU unit designed for efficiency and optimal patient care. The unit features state-of-the-art technology, including Pyxis medication dispensing and Meditech EMR systems, supporting both patient safety and workflow. With a knowledgeable, close-knit staff and a supportive leadership team, your voice and experience matter from day one.
Schedule:
- 5A – 5P
- On-call shifts required with a 30-minute response time
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid RN license with a minimum of 1-year recent acute care hospital experience in Pre-Op
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Patient-focused attitude and strong communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, supportive team environment
- Preferred: Prior experience with Meditech and Phase 2 recovery, willingness to assist colleagues
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre- and post-operative patient care for surgery, endoscopy, Cath lab, and other procedures
- Monitor and support patients through recovery phases (Urology, GYN, SDS, infusions, EKGs, blocks, blood transfusions)
- Maintain accurate documentation and utilize EMR technology
- Collaborate closely with providers and interdisciplinary team for superior patient outcomes
- Comply with all safety and unit protocols
