Step into a dynamic Pre-Op and Ambulatory Surgical Unit focused on delivering exceptional patient care and teamwork. This opportunity offers a chance to work within a well-equipped environment, utilizing advanced technology such as Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG machines, Doppler tools, and more. With state-of-the-art resources and a supportive staff, you'll play a central role in preparing and monitoring patients throughout their surgical journey.

Schedule:

  • Day shifts: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Qualifications:

  • Current RN license with at least 1 year of recent, acute care Pre-Op hospital experience
  • Active BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Strong communication skills, with a patient-focused approach
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based setting
  • Familiarity with Meditech EMR (preferred)
  • Previous experience in pre-op environments and supporting pre-op staff (preferred)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a nine-bed Pre-Op unit and five-bed Phase 2 recovery area
  • Prepare patients for surgical, endoscopic, and catheterization procedures, as well as outpatient infusions, blocks, blood transfusions, and EKGs
  • Perform thorough assessments and monitor patients during Phase 2 recoveries for urology, GYN, and same day surgery cases
  • Collaborate with staff and providers to ensure high-quality patient experiences and seamless care coordination
  • Participate in on-call rotation with a required 30-minute response time
