As a travel RN specializing in PACU, you’ll play a vital role in post-anesthesia care, working in a dynamic, fast-paced setting renowned for handling complex and advanced cases. This is an exceptional opportunity to broaden your skillset, increase your adaptability, and enhance your resume as you encounter a wide range of patient populations—from adult trauma and neuro cases to pediatric post-surgical recoveries. Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour rotations, 36 hours per week
  • Day Shifts: 6a-6:30p, 7a-7:30p, 8a-8:30p
  • Evening Shifts: 9a-9:30p, 10a-10:30p, 11a-11:30p
  • Every 3rd weekend and holiday as needed
  • No on-call duty; may float to additional PACU units if required

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license with 2+ years PACU experience, including complex phase 1 recovery (neuro, thoracic, vascular, ortho spine)
  • Pediatric PACU experience required; pediatric-specific skills preferred
  • Proficient with telemetry interpretation, including rhythm strips and heart blocks (required to pass telemetry test with 84% or above on day one)
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, compassionate care throughout the perioperative phase
  • Oversee recoveries from trauma, orthopedic, neuro, general, pediatric, interventional radiology, and cardiac cath procedures
  • Manage 30-60 varied cases daily within a 24/7 unit
