Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour, 36-hour rotating shifts
  • Must be available for any day or evening shift:
    • Day: 6a-6:30p, 7a-7:30p, 8a-8:30p
    • Evening: 9a-9:30p, 10a-10:30p, 11a-11:30p
  • Every 3rd weekend and 3rd holiday as needed
  • No on-call requirements
  • Flexibility to float to alternate PACU unit as needed

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active RN license
  • Minimum 2 years strong PACU experience, including phase 1 recovery for complex neuro, thoracic, vascular, and ortho spine cases
  • Pediatric PACU experience required
  • Able to independently read, interpret telemetry rhythm strips & identify heart blocks
  • Must pass Tele test with 84% or better on day one
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required; TNCC preferred
  • Experience with trauma, pediatrics, ortho, general, cardiac cath, IR, neuro, and EP cases
  • Adaptable and team-focused

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based care to post-anesthesia patients—adults and pediatrics
  • Monitor and interpret physiological data, recognizing/responding to emergencies swiftly
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes
  • Maintain precise documentation and provide patient/family education
  • Flex across units as volume and patient needs dictate
