This contract opportunity is designed for compassionate Registered Nurses with experience in the PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit), eager to make a positive impact on patient recovery and wellbeing.
Preferred qualifications:
- Current, active RN license
- Demonstrated clinical experience in a PACU or critical care setting
- Strong knowledge of post-anesthesia assessments and interventions
- Proficiency in monitoring vital signs, managing pain, and addressing post-operative complications
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with women’s health or reproductive endocrinology settings (a plus)
Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients emerging from anesthesia and deliver safe, high-quality post-operative care
- Conduct rapid and thorough assessments, promptly identifying and addressing changes in patients’ status
- Administer prescribed medications and manage pain control in accordance with established protocols
- Educate patients and families on post-procedure expectations and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMRs
- Collaborate with attending physicians, anesthesia providers, and allied health staff to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain strict compliance with patient safety, infection control, and privacy policies
