Bring your expertise in post-anesthesia care to a dynamic nursing environment focused on reproductive endocrinology and OB/GYN services. This contract opportunity is designed for compassionate Registered Nurses with experience in the PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit), eager to make a positive impact on patient recovery and wellbeing.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Current, active RN license
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in a PACU or critical care setting
  • Strong knowledge of post-anesthesia assessments and interventions
  • Proficiency in monitoring vital signs, managing pain, and addressing post-operative complications
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with women’s health or reproductive endocrinology settings (a plus)

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor patients emerging from anesthesia and deliver safe, high-quality post-operative care
  • Conduct rapid and thorough assessments, promptly identifying and addressing changes in patients’ status
  • Administer prescribed medications and manage pain control in accordance with established protocols
  • Educate patients and families on post-procedure expectations and discharge instructions
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMRs
  • Collaborate with attending physicians, anesthesia providers, and allied health staff to optimize patient outcomes
  • Maintain strict compliance with patient safety, infection control, and privacy policies
