Exceptional opportunity available for a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing. This contract role is ideal for an experienced RN who excels in post-operative patient care, demonstrates clinical proficiency, and thrives in a fast-paced recovery environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active RN license with eligibility to practice.
- Minimum of one year experience in PACU or critical care settings required.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Strong knowledge of post-anesthesia recovery protocols and patient assessment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR)/documentation procedures.
- Ability to respond swiftly and appropriately to patient needs and emergencies.
Schedule/Hours:
- Schedule determined by facility needs; flexibility may be required to accommodate variable shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, or holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to post-surgical patients immediately following anesthesia.
- Monitor vital signs, airway, and level of consciousness during recovery.
- Administer medications and manage IV therapy as ordered.
- Assess patients for pain, nausea, and other post-operative concerns.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgical teams to ensure safe recovery.
- Document patient status, interventions, and responses accurately.
- Educate patients and families about post-operative care and discharge instructions.
- Uphold infection control practices and maintain a safe care environment.

$2,299 - $2,432/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
