Key Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least one year of recent experience as an RN in a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) or recovery setting
- Proficient assessment and critical thinking skills for post-operative patients
- BLS and ACLS certifications (active and current)
- Excellent communication abilities for effective patient and family interactions
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
Essential Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage post-anesthesia patients, assessing for complications and addressing needs swiftly
- Provide high-quality nursing care in accordance with established protocols
- Assist in pain management, airway maintenance, and vital sign stabilization
- Accurately record all observations, interventions, and changes in patient condition
- Educate patients and families on recovery expectations and discharge instructions
- Collaborate effectively with surgical, anesthesiology, and other multidisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
