Elevate your clinical skills by working in a busy Pre-Op Holding and Phase 2 Recovery Unit. With a dedicated team, access to advanced technology such as Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG machines, and Meditech EMR, you’ll gain invaluable experience managing a range of surgical and diagnostic procedures. Each shift delivers fresh challenges, allowing you to expand your résumé while learning different workplace practices and leadership styles in a supportive environment.
Schedule:
- Day shifts, 5A – 5P
Key qualifications:
- Current RN license with experience in Phase 2 recovery (must)
- ACLS/BLS certification required
- Prior pre-op experience or flexibility to support pre-op staff preferred
- Comfort with equipment such as EKG, Doppler, patient scale, bladder scanner
Typical responsibilities:
- Delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients in preparation for and recovery from surgery or procedures (Urology, GYN, Endo, CT, cath lab, EP, infusions, EKGs, transfusions)
- Maintaining a patient ratio of 1:3 to ensure optimal care
- Collaborating closely with a talented team of RNs and support staff
- Adhering to unit policies, with a 30-minute response time for on-call shifts
