This travel nursing role in a Pre-Op Holding/ASU unit allows you to work alongside experienced professionals, gaining exposure to advanced equipment and varied procedures. Schedule/Hours:
- 5A – 5P
- On-call required with a 30-minute response time
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 1 year of acute care Pre-Op RN hospital experience
- BLS & ACLS certifications
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Meditech EMR experience preferred
- Prior Pre-Op experience or adaptability to assist preop staff (preferred)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-level nursing care in a 9-bed Pre-Op and 5-bed Phase 2 recovery unit
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:3 to ensure attentive care
- Oversee pre-op preparation and Phase 2 recovery for urology, GYN, endoscopy, cath lab, and outpatient cases
- Administer infusions, EKGs, pre-surgical blocks, and blood transfusions
- Utilize state-of-the-art equipment including Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG, Doppler, and more
- Coordinate efficiently with providers and the interdisciplinary team
