Travel Registered Nurse - PACU (RN) - Derby, KS

As a Registered Nurse in this Pre-Op Holding and Phase 2 Recovery unit, you’ll collaborate with a seasoned team of professionals using leading-edge equipment, such as Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG, Doppler, and Meditech EMR. The unit features 9 pre-op beds and 5 recovery beds, ensuring a manageable patient ratio for optimal care and learning.

Embrace opportunities for growth as you gain exposure to a variety of perioperative procedures—including surgeries, endo, cath lab, phase 2 recoveries, infusions, and transfusions. Working alongside experienced full-time, part-time, and PRN nurses, you’ll develop expertise in patient-centered care, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Schedule/Hours:

• 5A to 5P shifts
• On-call required with 30-minute response time

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• RN license, minimum 1 year acute care Pre-Op RN hospital experience
• Current BLS & ACLS certifications
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Preop or Meditech experience preferred

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, compassionate care in pre-operative and recovery settings
• Monitor and document patient responses in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with providers, support staff, and patients for seamless perioperative experiences
• Perform and assist in procedures (infusions, EKGs, blood transfusions, patient education)
• Adhere to all unit policies and safety guidelines

$1,936 - $2,048/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
