Registered Nurse - PACU (RN) - Gastonia, NC

Deliver essential patient care and support in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) environment in a dynamic contract role. As a Registered Nurse specializing in PACU care, your expertise will be vital in monitoring post-surgical patients, ensuring their safe recovery, and providing compassionate care to individuals emerging from anesthesia.

Schedule/Hours:

• Contract assignment

Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN licensure
• Previous experience in PACU or critical care settings strongly preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong assessment, communication, and clinical skills
• Ability to respond quickly to emergent situations and work effectively under stress

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor patients’ vital signs post-operatively, assessing for complications and providing appropriate interventions
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following physician instructions
• Collaborate with anesthesia providers and surgical teams to manage patient recovery and pain control
• Document care and patient assessments accurately and efficiently
• Educate patients and their families about expectations and discharge instructions
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment, adhering to hospital policies and industry standards
