Schedule/Hours:
- 3x12 hour day shifts per week
- Call requirements: approximately 3-4 weeknight calls and one 24-hour weekend call per 8-week period (subject to change based on staffing)
- Weeknight call: 9:00 pm – 7:00 am
- Weekend call: 7:00 am – 7:00 am
- Shifts range: 6:00 am–6:30 pm, 7:00 am–7:30 pm, 8:00 am–8:30 pm, 9:00 am–9:30 pm
Desired Qualifications:
- Active RN license with proficiency in PACU nursing
- Prior experience in preoperative and post-anesthesia settings strongly preferred
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care for surgical patients throughout preoperative preparation and post-anesthesia recovery
- Thoroughly monitor patients’ status, manage pain, and rapidly respond to emergent needs
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary staff
- Document all nursing interventions and changes in patient condition accurately
