As a Registered Nurse specializing in PACU, you will play an essential part in monitoring and supporting patients immediately following anesthesia, helping ensure safe and smooth recoveries.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current and unrestricted RN license
• Recent experience in a PACU or post-anesthesia care unit is required
• Strong assessment skills and the ability to respond swiftly in emergent situations
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills
• Attention to detail and effective time management

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized nursing care to post-surgical patients, monitoring vital signs and responding rapidly to changes
• Implement physician orders and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan and evaluate patient care
• Assess pain levels and administer medications as appropriate, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate, thorough documentation of care delivered and patient responses
• Adhere to all facility policies, infection control protocols, and safety regulations

$2,299 - $2,432/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
