This travel nurse opening in the Pre-Op Holding/ASU unit provides a unique opportunity to broaden your expertise within a dynamic perioperative environment. You'll collaborate with seasoned nursing professionals and learn from diverse workplace practices among an experienced, supportive team. Schedule/Hours:

• 5A - 5P shifts

Desired Qualifications:

• Active RN license, current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Phase 2 recovery experience (required)
• Pre-op experience or capacity to support pre-op care (preferred)
• Familiarity with EMR (Meditech), Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG, Doppler, bladder scanner, and patient scale

Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert care for 9 pre-op and 5 recovery beds, maintaining a 1:3 patient ratio
• Manage recovery of Urology, GYN, and various Same Day Surgery (SDS) patients
• Prepare patients for surgery, endoscopy, cardiac cath lab, EP, CT, and outpatient procedures
• Support outpatient infusions, administer EKGs, blood transfusions, and blocks
• Respond on call with a 30-minute response window
