This role allows you to refine your RN-PACU skills in a supportive, fast-paced Pre-Op Holding/ASU unit renowned for its dedicated nursing team and state-of-the-art technology. With a manageable patient ratio and the use of advanced equipment—such as the Pyxis system, GE MACVU EKG, and Meditech EMR—you’ll gain exposure to a wide range of cases, enhancing your clinical expertise and strengthening your adaptability in dynamic healthcare settings. You'll collaborate with seasoned professionals and adaptive leaders, making this an exceptional chance to build your resume and learn new best practices.
Schedule/Hours:
- 5A – 5P
- On-call required with 30-minute response time when on-call
Qualifications:
- Active RN license with at least 1 year of recent acute care Pre-Op hospital experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Pre-op experience and Meditech EMR familiarity highly preferred
- Strong communication and patient-focused approach
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and monitor patients for surgery and procedures
- Manage Phase 2 recoveries for Urology, GYN, and other surgical outpatients
- Oversee outpatient infusions, EKGs, blocks, and blood transfusions
- Ensure preoperative safety and comfort, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide clear communication to patients, team members, and providers
