Deliver essential care and support in a dynamic Post Anesthesia Care Unit. We're seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse with PACU expertise to provide clinical excellence and patient-centered care during recovery from surgery and procedures.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of one year of recent PACU nursing experience
- Strong clinical assessment and monitoring skills
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficient in post-anesthesia patient evaluation and pain management
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to safety and infection control standards
Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures, ensuring safety and stability
- Assess vital signs, manage airways, and provide responsive interventions for post-operative needs
- Administer medications and pain management therapies as prescribed
- Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and other nursing staff for coordinated post-op care
- Document observations, interventions, and patient progress accurately within the electronic medical record
- Educate patients and families regarding post-anesthesia expectations and discharge instructions
- Uphold best practices to promote optimal patient outcomes and continuous care improvement
