Qualifications:
- RN with active BLS and PALS certifications
- Minimum 1 year (2 years preferred) of critical care pediatric experience
- Must have completed at least one previous travel assignment (not accepting first-time travelers)
- Proficiency with PACU/post-op pediatric care; comfortable managing ICU-related gtts (heparin, insulin, cardiac)
- Experience with telemetry and EMR (EPIC), IV Pumps (Alaris), Med Dispensing (Omnicell), Monitors (Philips)
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, all-hands-on-deck approach
Responsibilities:
- Care for pediatric patients ages 0–17 across a spectrum of surgical specialties (excluding cardiac), both inpatient and outpatient
- Occasional care for adult patients as needed
- Work closely with transporters, HUC, clinical educators, anesthesia, and a support-focused nursing team
- Conduct telemetry monitoring and collaborate on patient care in an open-bay unit environment
