In this rewarding PACU nursing role focused on pediatric patients, you’ll expand your clinical expertise at a large academic medical center renowned for its innovative care practices and multidisciplinary teamwork. Schedule:

  • Primarily day shifts with potential flexibility based on unit needs

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid RN license with a minimum of 1 year (2 years preferred) in critical care peds
  • Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
  • BLS and PALS certifications
  • Skilled in managing common ICU drips (heparin, insulin, occasional cardiac)
  • Advanced EPIC documentation experience
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, open-bay setting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver attentive post-anesthesia care to pediatric (and occasionally adult) patients
  • Monitor telemetry and manage patient safety throughout recovery
  • Collaborate with transport, PACU educators, and a dedicated charge nurse
  • Support and be supported by an “all hands on deck” team culture
  • Occasionally float between pediatric and adult cases as needed
