Working in a progressive, academic medical center with Level 1 Trauma designation exposes you to a wide spectrum of pediatric post-anesthesia cases and innovative clinical practices. Schedule/Hours:

  • Travel assignment; full-time hours

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • At least 1 year of experience in pediatric critical care (2 years preferred)
  • Minimum one completed travel assignment
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications
  • Skilled with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, and Philips monitors
  • Strong clinical judgment managing drips typical to ICU; occasional BiPAP management
  • Team-oriented, adaptive, and resourceful
  • Comfortable in open bay unit and “all hands on deck” environment

Responsibilities:

  • Care for pediatric PACU patients, with ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 depending on acuity
  • Support primarily inpatient, some outpatient, across most surgical specialties (excluding cardiac)
  • Take telemetry responsibilities and coordinate with in-house anesthesia
  • Adapt to occasional coverage of adult patients as unit needs shift
  • Collaborate with educators, transporters, unit clerks, and a dedicated charge nurse
  • Maintain meticulous records and provide family-centered care
