Working in a large academic medical center with Level 1 trauma designation, you’ll encounter a dynamic environment that fosters the growth of both clinical and interpersonal skills. Exposure to diverse healthcare practices, collaborative leadership, and a supportive team will enhance your professional acumen. Expand your resume by caring for a primarily pediatric patient population, gaining experience with multiple surgical specialties, and occasionally supporting adult patients.

Schedule/Hours

Desired Qualifications

  • RN license with at least one year of pediatric critical care experience (two years strongly preferred)
  • Completion of at least one previous travel assignment
  • BLS and PALS certifications required
  • Comfortable managing post-op pediatric patients and common ICU gtts (heparin, insulin, cardiac drips)
  • Team-oriented, resourceful, adaptable, and willing to seek assistance when needed

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia nursing care to pediatric patients, occasionally supporting adult cases depending on unit needs
  • Monitor and interpret telemetry; manage IVs, medication administration, and patient assessments using EPIC, Alaris pumps, Omnicell, and Philips monitors
  • Collaborate within a supportive environment, working closely with dedicated charge RNs, PACU educators, HUCs, and anesthesia professionals
  • Uphold patient safety and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
