Schedule/Hours
- Standard shifts; specific schedule provided upon assignment
Responsibilities
- Deliver post-anesthesia care for pediatric patients (ages 0-17), both inpatient and outpatient
- Manage telemetry monitoring, IV pumps, and medication dispensing (Alaris pumps, Omnicell, Philips monitors)
- Respond effectively to various acuity levels; typical patient ratios are 1:1 or 1:2 based on patient needs
- Occasionally provide care for adult patients as dictated by unit demand
- Collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team including transporters, PACU educators, and anesthesia providers
- Utilize EPIC EMR for patient charting
- Follow established protocols for medication infusions, including heparin and insulin drips
Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Minimum 1 year, preferably 2+ years, of pediatric critical care/peds PACU experience
- Required certifications: BLS, PALS
- Previous completion of at least one travel assignment
- Demonstrated self-motivation, adaptability, and teamwork mindset
