Registered Nurse - PACU (RN) - Hindman, Kentucky

Key Qualifications:

• Current, unencumbered RN license
• Previous experience in PACU or a comparable acute care recovery setting
• Expertise in post-anesthesia assessment, monitoring airways, pain management, and rapid emergency response
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and provide patient/family education
• Excellent critical-thinking, communication, and time-management skills
• BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred)
• Adaptable to fast-paced situations and ever-changing patient needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia care, closely monitoring patients following surgical procedures
• Perform ongoing assessments of vital signs, neurological status, and pain levels
• Administer necessary medications and interventions per physician orders and PACU protocols
• Document all care provided with accuracy in electronic health records
• Provide clear instructions and updates to both patients and their families throughout recovery
• Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and fellow nursing staff for coordinated care

$1,936 - $2,048/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
