Experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses are invited to support patient recovery in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) settings, specializing in reproductive endocrinology and OB/GYN care. This contract role offers the chance to work closely with a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, delivering exceptional postoperative care to patients undergoing a variety of procedures.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Previous PACU nursing experience or strong background in perioperative, recovery, or surgical nursing
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are required
  • Outstanding assessment skills, with a focus on patient safety and comfort
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with physicians and specialists
  • Ability to manage multiple patients and rapidly changing clinical situations with professionalism and empathy

Schedule:

  • Contract position, shift times and duration to be discussed upon application

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Monitor vital signs and level of consciousness for patients emerging from anesthesia
  • Manage post-operative care, including pain management, airway support, and assessment of surgical sites
  • Communicate changes in patient status to physicians and implement physician orders swiftly and accurately
  • Educate patients and family members on post-operative self-care, medications, and follow-up requirements
  • Maintain careful, clear documentation in line with regulatory standards and best practices
