Registered Nurse - PACU in Hyden, KY

Step into a vital role providing expert care for patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) as a Registered Nurse. Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of one year of recent PACU experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Strong assessment, triage, and patient monitoring skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to remain calm under pressure in urgent and emergent situations

Responsibilities:

• Monitor post-operative patients for vital signs, consciousness, and pain management
• Provide attentive recovery care, including airway management and medication administration
• Communicate patient status and needs clearly to the healthcare team and families
• Document interventions and patient responses accurately in medical records
• Quickly recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
• Adhere to facility safety and infection control protocols
• Deliver compassionate support and education to patients and their loved ones as needed
