Required Skills & Experience
- Current, unencumbered RN license (state requirements apply)
- 1+ years of PACU experience strongly preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Adaptability to fast-paced and changing patient needs
- Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Monitor and assess post-surgical patients’ recovery and vital signs
- Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions and intervene as needed
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, anesthesiologists, and support staff
- Maintain thorough, accurate documentation
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery expectations
