Travel Registered Nurse - PACU in Ithaca, NY

Schedule/Hours:

• 3x12s, Day shifts
• Shift start times: 6:00am-6:30pm, 7:00am-7:30pm, 8:00am-8:30pm, 9:00am-9:30pm
• On-call requirements: approximately 3-4 weeknight calls (9:00pm-7:00am) and one 24-hour weekend call (7:00am-7:00am) in an 8-week period
• Call requirements may vary with staffing needs

Qualifications:

• Current, unencumbered RN license
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Preop or PACU settings
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to adapt in fast-paced clinical settings
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate and comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Preoperative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Assess, monitor, and document patients’ recovery from anesthesia and surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and perioperative teams to execute care plans
• Support admissions, discharge instructions, and patient/family education
• Respond effectively to emergencies and participate in on-call rotations to ensure continuous coverage

$2,420 - $2,560/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
