This opportunity serves primarily pediatric patients in a dynamic PACU setting. You'll expand your expertise supporting a variety of post-op cases (excluding cardiac surgery), managing both inpatient and outpatient children from 0–17 years old, and occasionally assisting with adults as needed. The facility offers state-of-the-art technology and a supportive infrastructure with 24/7 anesthesia, PACU educators, and a dedicated management team—giving you ample room to grow and add high-impact experience to your resume.
Schedule/Hours
- Full-time travel assignment
- Shifts and scheduling details provided during the interview process
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 1 year of critical care peds experience (2 years preferred)
- Previous travel assignment required
- BLS and PALS certifications
- Experience with EMR (EPIC), Alaris pumps, Omnicell, and Philips monitors
- Resourceful, self-motivated, and a proven team player, especially in open bay units
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients
- Manage acuity-dependent patient ratios: RN 1:1 or 1:2
- Monitor telemetry, manage drips common to ICU settings (heparin, insulin, some cardiac)
- Collaborate closely within an "all-hands-on-deck" environment
- Provide care to adults if needed, based on unit needs
- Partner with interdisciplinary team, leveraging on-site educators and management support
