This travel assignment lets you collaborate within a dynamic Pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit supporting primarily pediatric patients with occasional adult cases, ensuring that each day offers new learning moments. Schedule/Hours:

  • Variable shifts depending on unit needs

Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license
  • BLS and PALS certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of pediatric critical care experience (2 years preferred)
  • At least one completed travel assignment—first-time travelers not accepted
  • Skilled in post-op pediatric care; comfortable managing drips commonly found in critical care (heparin, insulin, some cardiac)
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Philips monitors
  • Engaged, resourceful, proactive, and thrives in a team-based, open-bay setting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver vigilant monitoring and exceptional post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients across a spectrum of specialties
  • Occasionally assist with adult patients based on unit needs
  • Manage all aspects of telemetry and be adaptable to float between similar care populations
  • Collaborate closely with a supportive team (educators, transporters, 24/7 anesthesia) and communicate effectively within a “all hands on deck” culture
