Hospital Registered Nurse - PACU | Lithonia, Georgia

Seeking experienced Registered Nurses to support Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) needs in a dynamic healthcare setting. This contract role offers the opportunity to work alongside skilled clinical teams, providing post-operative care to patients recovering from anesthesia after surgical procedures. With multiple openings available, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring patient safety and comfort during critical recovery periods.

Schedule/Hours:

• 3 Day Shift roles—variable start times between 7am and 10am
• 1 Night Shift opening—start time variable between 7pm and 9pm

Qualifications:

• Active RN license required with prior PACU experience
• Proven expertise in post-anesthesia recovery and monitoring
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS; PALS preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to react swiftly and appropriately in urgent situations
• Capacity to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment

Responsibilities:

• Closely monitor patients’ post-operative status and vital signs
• Assess pain levels, administer appropriate medications, and communicate changes to the care team
• Provide compassionate support and education to patients and their families
• Accurately document recovery progress and clinical observations
• Maintain all PACU safety protocols and infection control standards
• Support pre-operative and post-operative workflow as needed
