This travel assignment offers an excellent opportunity for Registered Nurses seeking exposure to diverse patient populations and advanced workplace practices. You’ll collaborate with leaders across multiple specialties, expand your expertise in Post-Anesthesia Care, and gain invaluable experience that will enhance your career portfolio.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour midshift; 36 hours per week
- Rotating day shifts: 6a-6:30p, 7a-7:30p, 8a-8:30p
- Evening shifts: 9a-9:30p, 10a-10:30p, 11a-11:30p
- Every 3rd weekend and every 3rd holiday as needed
- No call required; floating to Moakley PACU may be needed
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Active RN license
- At least 2 years of recent PACU nursing experience (Phase 1, complex cases: neuro, thoracic, vascular, ortho spine)
- Pediatric experience required; preferred candidates will have TNCC certification
- Strong ability to independently interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks—must pass telemetry exam (84%+) on day one
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert care for a variety of cases, including trauma, pediatrics, ortho, general surgery, cardiac cath, IR, neuro IR, and EP cases
- Manage an average daily case load of 30-60 in a unit open 24/7
- Ensure patient safety and quality outcomes during critical recovery phases
