Professionally, you’ll work within a dynamic Preop/PACU unit, gaining invaluable exposure to a variety of perioperative nursing practices, leadership styles, and interdisciplinary care models. Broaden your clinical expertise, expand your resume, and enhance your adaptability as you collaborate with some of the area’s most committed healthcare providers.
Schedule / Hours:
- 3x12s Days (three 12-hour shifts weekly)
- Shifts between: 6a-6:30p, 7a-7:30p, 8a-8:30p, and 9a-9:30p
- On-call: Approximately 3–4 weeknight calls and one 24-hour weekend call within an eight-week period
- Weeknight call: 9p-7a | Weekend call: 7a-7a
(Call frequencies may vary based on staffing)
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum of one year acute care PACU experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong assessment, patient advocacy, and communication skills
- Flexibility for on-call rotation and variable shift start times
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, timely post-anesthesia care and monitor patient recovery
- Perform thorough patient assessments and maintain detailed documentation
- Collaborate closely with anesthesia, surgery, and recovery teams
- Provide family/patient education and emotional support
- Respond to changes in patient status and clinical emergencies
