Desired Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in good standing
• Proven experience in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong assessment, monitoring, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to respond quickly and calmly to changes in patient condition
• Excellent teamwork and effective communication abilities
• Experience with electronic medical records

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and surgeries, ensuring safety and comfort
• Assess vital signs, pain levels, and overall well-being, taking prompt action as needed
• Administer medications and IV fluids as ordered
• Communicate patient status to surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other members of the healthcare team
• Provide post-procedure education and support to patients and families
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in line with facility and regulatory standards
• Uphold infection control protocols and foster a safe environment for all patients
