Seeking an experienced RN with specialized skills in PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) nursing for a rewarding contract opportunity. This vital role involves providing high-quality post-surgical care, ensuring patient safety and comfort as they recover from anesthesia. You will be part of a supportive clinical team focused on delivering excellence during critical recovery moments.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Proven recent experience in PACU or similar post-anesthesia care settings
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient advocacy skills
  • Ability to respond promptly and effectively to emergent situations
  • ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Capacity to work collaboratively with physicians, anesthesia providers, and allied staff

Schedule/Hours:

  • Flexible contract duration—scheduling details provided upon interview

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess post-operative patients and monitor vital signs closely
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely
  • Recognize and act on signs of complications or distress promptly
  • Educate patients and families on post-anesthesia expectations and care
  • Maintain accurate, timely electronic health records and documentation
  • Support patient comfort, pain management, and overall wellbeing
  • Collaborate in interdisciplinary rounds and continuous improvement initiatives
