Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess patients emerging from anesthesia, detecting complications and responding promptly to changes in condition
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to patient safety protocols
  • Communicate patient status and concerns with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals for coordinated care
  • Offer comfort, education, and guidance to patients and their families during the recovery process
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including vital sign documentation and pain assessment charts
  • Follow PACU unit policies, infection prevention standards, and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid and active RN license
  • Demonstrated experience working as a Registered Nurse specifically in a PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) setting
  • Strong knowledge of post-anesthesia assessment, monitoring, and emergency interventions
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced clinical environment
