Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patients emerging from anesthesia, detecting complications and responding promptly to changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to patient safety protocols
- Communicate patient status and concerns with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals for coordinated care
- Offer comfort, education, and guidance to patients and their families during the recovery process
- Maintain accurate patient records, including vital sign documentation and pain assessment charts
- Follow PACU unit policies, infection prevention standards, and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid and active RN license
- Demonstrated experience working as a Registered Nurse specifically in a PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) setting
- Strong knowledge of post-anesthesia assessment, monitoring, and emergency interventions
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced clinical environment
