Deliver compassionate post-anesthesia care and support in a dynamic recovery environment as a registered nurse within the PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit). Desired Qualifications:
- Current, unencumbered RN license (state of assignment)
- At least one year of recent PACU experience preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
- Demonstrated skills in patient assessment, airway management, and pain control
- Ability to remain calm and provide excellent care in emergent situations
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
- Strong communication, teamwork, and multi-tasking abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patients emerging from anesthesia, ensuring safety and comfort
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition with appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams
- Document all care provided and patient responses accurately in the EMR
- Educate patients and their families about post-operative care expectations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient PACU environment
