Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Active and unrestricted RN license
- Minimum of 1 year recent nursing experience in a PACU or critical care environment
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Demonstrated assessment and monitoring skills with post-anesthesia patients
- Knowledgeable in post-operative pain and symptom management
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Proven attention to detail and critical thinking
Role Responsibilities:
- Safely monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia
- Recognize and respond swiftly to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and fellow nurses for coordinated patient care
- Administer medications and manage IVs as prescribed
- Document patient progress and post-operative care activities accurately
- Educate patients and families about post-surgical care and next steps
- Adhere to facility safety, privacy, and infection control protocols
