Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year pediatric critical care experience (2 years preferred)
• Previous travel assignment completed (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Strong skills in managing gtts (heparin, insulin, occasional cardiac)
• Resourceful, collaborative, and adaptable—open bay, team-driven environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert postoperative care to pediatric patients (ages 0-17), occasionally adults per unit need
• Manage 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratios based on acuity
• Perform telemetry monitoring and medication administration via Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell system
• Support all hands-on-deck approach in an open bay unit
• Collaborate with PACU educators, transporters, and reception staff; work closely with anesthesia and charge RN
• Attend thorough orientation and integrate quickly into team
